FAQ:
Q: What does Dr. Bennett do in his visits?
A: Dr. Bennett generally offers a one-hour seminar that highlights and discusses key ideas from the book, and suggests that you schedule a second hour for any faculty who wish to stay longer for additional discussion in a Q&A and commentary format.
Q: We’d like a more in-depth workshop, perhaps lasting a half-day or full day. Is it available?
A: Sort of… Dr. Bennett can easily spend many hours discussing teaching and science with your teachers or students, but he has not yet developed a formal workshop around the book. Nevertheless, you’ll likely find that he can do something that will accommodate your audience. Contact him to discuss if you would like an extended workshop.
Q: We know that Dr. Bennett also does talks for the public and for school children. Can he include those as part of his visit?
A: Yes! If he is making a trip, he’d like to be busy. So please try to arrange for an evening public talk and school visits along with your faculty event(s). Click here for information on his public talks and school presentations.
Q: How much does a visit cost?
A: Dr. Bennett’s current standard fees are:
- For a visit in which he can fly in one morning and home the next morning (e.g., afternoon seminar and evening public talk): $1500 + airfare and hotel.
- For a visit that requires two nights away from home: $2500 plus airfare and hotel
Note: As discussed on his school visit page, it may be possible to reduce the fee or even get a free visit through sales of Dr. Bennett’s children’s books. Dr. Bennett is also open to negotiation for special circumstances.
